What level of Stroke are you?
We all realize that their are many different levels or categories of stroke that people suffer. Their is no "one size fits all" when it comes to rehab either.
As an example you need look no further than Tedi Bruschi of the New England Patriots.
Many of us would be content to be able to walk without a limp or at all. Tedy Bruschi is currently playing professional football and has even participated in the Super Bowl after his stroke.
I have a link to him on my site at www.StrokesSuck.com as he is very involved in stroke recovery himself.
The point is that their are many different levels of stroke and are level of treatment and rehab.
It is important to coordinate your rehab and exercise plan with your doctor and/or therapist. Just as important is to begin as soon as possible. As with any exercise plan you need to start slowly to rebuild your muscles and your stamina.
You will get stronger and better as time goes on. Make sure you don't overextend yourself.
STOP right away if you experience any of the following
Dizziness, chest pain, extreme fatigue, excessive pain or if you feel lightheaded.
