Good Days and Bad Days Part 2
Many of us strokies have some form of memory loss. So during my morning walk today I couldn't remember if I had written a blog with
this title already. It sounded quite familiar and upon checking the archives I was correct. I wrote it on September 9 of 2008.
But that's ok, I just have a little to add. Just because we have experienced a major trauma we certainly do not have an exclusive to the
ups and downs of everyday life. Think of your life before your stroke or brain injury ( if your memory allows) You experienced days when
you felt on top of the world and you could do no wrong. Other times you did not feel like getting out of bed.
That's just life. So use that information when you are frustrated with your life and feel like crap. We all had these emotions before and
we will again
Think of it as running up or down a hill when you were young. Those "feel good" days are like when you were running down a hill..
You could go much faster. Use that extra energy to accomplish more in your life. Perhaps inspire or help even one person as they are
struggling with the uphill climb. Lend them a hand.
On the other hand when you are faced with the uphill battle yourself remember that you will reach the top and easier times are ahead.
Also remember that just like climbing a mountain you need to stop and rest. How else can you truly enjoy the scenery?
