Yesterday my daughter Christa gave me some news that when she spoke the words, it seemed like an out of body experience. Like

everything was in slow motion. She received a phone call from the Navy medical hospital with the news that she has cervical cancer.

 As she was telling me the news she  spoke with the confidence and self assuredness that she always has exhibited throughout her

short 25 years of life. In her favor it appears that she is the beneficiary of very early detection. If their is one fact that I know about cancer

it is that early detection and treatment is the key overcoming it. They are planning surgery on April third.

She told me this as I am in the midst of creating a prayer request/support website for my first cousin Laura's granddaughter, Isabella.

This would make her my third cousin. Because I live in San Diego and she lives in Western New York, I have never even met her yet

Isabella is the only person to have two cancerous brain tumors of this particular type at the same time. Wow what a distinction!

I guess the odds would be like winning two separate lottery jackpots at the same time.

Anyway, I will be creating this website soon with the goal of having one million prayers said in her behalf.

Isabella is only nine years old. Sometime life just isn't fair, you know?
