Consistency

I have been real consistent since May the 23rd of this year in writing my book.

On that date I made a commitment that I would write a page every day in my book about my stroke recovery.

I am proud to say that I have kept that commitment. I think that this is probably the most

consistent endeavor I have ever undertaken. I feel like I just stumbled upon a hidden treasure or some magic secret as I was writing

in my book today. I am now writing about the strategies that have helped and are continuing to help me in my recovery. When I was

searching my quote database for some quotes on consistency I found  the following quote by Tony Robbins that I really like.

"In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It's not what we do once in a while that

shapes our lives, but what we do consistently."

I have been consistent in my workouts which are increasing in intensity as well as in frequency.

I love it. I have a long way to go but I know in my true full potential self that I am going there and it makes me feel young and alive.

I really hope and pray to God that I will be able to convey this very message in my book to other stroke and brain injury survivors or to

anyone who needs to improve their life. There is hope. You can improve as long as you have a positive attitude, a strong belief

in yourself and in a higher source (for me it is Jesus Christ), consistent steps toward your goals, a burning desire and the discipline

to stick with your plan. Do those things along with the basics like treating others like they are a joy to be around and give of yourself

to others like a helping hand, compliments an ear to listen or just be available by not always making it about yourself.

I will commit myself right at this moment to make consistency a major player in my life from this point on.

I will commit to make at least two blog posts per week because i honestly believe that I have value to share that can be helpful to

others. Hey, we all need a helping hand from time to time and  the good Lord knows that I have had my share. Thank you everyone.
