My New Resume

For the past two years, I have been a stroke survivor first, albeit a strong willed and inspirational one. However the emphasis was first on being a stroke survivor.

It was me. It was my life. It was who I was. Who I became. My identity if you will.

It was like that was my title "Stroke survivor", and this is what I am trying to do to get better and then I will try and help others.

Those days are over. I will not pretend that I did not have a stroke but from now on it will be listed toward the bottom of my imaginary resume.

My support website will still be a main passion of mine. I will continue to do what I can to advocate towards stroke prevention and information, therapy and cures.

I will continue to write my book, "StrokesSuck,...but".

I will continue to motivate and inspire others to improve.

Most of all I will now be more focused on leading by example. The best thing that I can do for other survivors, my family and myself is to make my life a dynamic successful one.

The stroke survivor story will become one of those where I may say,"Oh yeah, I had a stroke and I also have this stroke survivor website"

I love my new resume. After almost three years I am now looking forward to my new dynamic life. I thank everyone who has supported me during those dark times.

I couldn't have done it without you. You know who you are.
