Two Types of People
We are always attempting to place people in separate categories.
Trying to identify their personalities. This is actually a great practice if used as a means of understand and communicating.
We even give them different colors. Depending upon the profile or the different test you take the colors may be different but the meanings are basically the same. Below is one such example:
Yellow: Amiable. 35% of people fall into this category. This is symbolized by the Koala Bear.
Green: Analytical. 35% of people fall into this category as well. Their animal symbol is the Owl.
Blue: Fun, Fun, Fun 15% of people fall into this category symbolized by the Monkey.
Red: Driven 15% of people are in this category, symbolized by the Shark
Most of us have a combination of all however we do generally have a prevalent trait.
I personally like this observation by Ella Wheeler Wilcox in her poem "Which Are You?"
There are two kinds of people on earth today.
Just two kinds of people, no more I say.
Not the sinner and saint, for it's well understood,
That the good are half bad and the bad are half good.
Not the rich and the poor, for to rate a man's wealth,
You must know the state of his conscience and health.
Not the humble and proud, for in life's little spats,
Who puts on vain airs, is not counted a man.
Not the happy and sad, for the swift flying years,
Bring each man his laughter and each man his tears.
No the two kinds of people on earth I mean,
Are the people who lift, and the people who lean.
Wherever you go, you will find the earth's masses,
Are always divided in just those two classes.
And oddly enough, you will find too, I ween,
There's only one lifter to twenty who lean.
In which class are you? Are you easing the load,
Of overtaxed lifters, who toil down the road?
Or are you a leaner, who lets others share
Your portion of labor and worry and care?
